Why is game development so hard? Am I learning game development too late? Why don’t I understand game development? What game engine do I pick? Wait…what’s a game engine?
Game development, or gamedev, IS hard. BUT, it is also a very rewarding skill to learn and opens up a lot of creative possibilities, even if you don’t pursue a professional career in game development.
Not only is it not too late for you to learn gamedev, but I believe NOW is the best time to learn game development.
Lack of confidence, burnout, and feeling overwhelmed are common feelings when learning any new skill. But by remembering your strengths and your innate ability to learn hard things, you can continue to build your expertise and create some amazing things.
