Re: What happed with the old godot forum ?
That's the problem, he didn't even really properly label it as a bot, so you had newbies who were trying to talk to it like it was a real human being and going forward any AI experimentation needs to be labelled as that clearly, otherwise it's safe to assume the person using the AI is being deceptive.

Re: What happed with the old godot forum ?
What seems to have happened with CyberReality and I am trying to be fair here, the guy misunderstood how Godot's finances worked, blew it out of proportion instead of just asking some simple questions to verify information and then decided instead of cool off and come back later like a normal person...

Re: Change Your Understanding of Topology In Six Minutes - DECODED
Oh yes, with regards to Blender modifiers and such don't do it, I also don't know if there are problems with inverse kinematic animations from Blender to Godot, I'll have to experiment with that. I'm entering more into the design phase of all my work so I've got more excuses now to mess around with ...

Re: Change Your Understanding of Topology In Six Minutes - DECODED
Blender can certainly handle all of that and perhaps more, like Godot people really underestimate the power of this open source software. However I thought I'd post this up for people like me who were initially struggling to find good resources on how to do consistent topology without completely bre...

Change Your Understanding of Topology In Six Minutes - DECODED
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGL6QpVRyXk Might seem weird me posting someone else's tutorial but it was honestly that useful I thought I'd dump it here as I've dumped it elsewhere. I've been heavily researching general 3D modelling topology and trying to get a proper grounding in the techniques s...

Re: At what point you could show for the first time your game?
@stayathomedev has given some pretty useful information, the short videos are an absolute must, you will not get most people clicking on this stuff unless it's less than a minute unfortunately, people are frankly lazy and they aren't going to 'waste' their time watching something unless they can get...

Re: Lethn shameless github plug
Sure thing, yeah, I actually have some code where I've re-written things using match statements and have learned how to use those properly, plan on updating things when I get the time.

Come up with something, search for it on steam and google, if it doesn't come up, you're golden, that's the sort of thing I do to avoid stepping on any toes with copyright.

Re: What are we watching?
I'm actually watching casts of professional Starcraft 2 games randomly while I think about my RTS project lol. My viewing history is all kinds of weird.

Re: What happed with the old godot forum ?
I mentioned this in my intro thread but think I'd prefer communities to be decentralised and privately owned, the confusion comes when it's not properly categorised as such as is the case with their whole community section frankly. Maybe some kind of official place where the devs can answer specific...
