Game jams seem to be popular. I am not sure why, lol. My first thoughts were that maybe it was more productive to spend 12 (or whatever) hours on your own project -v- 12 (or so) hours under pressure to produce something that you had never considered producing until the jam. My second thought was I must be missing the point on jams. :)

Regardless ..

As they are popular, how hard would it be for this community/forum to run a fun one based on godot 4.0/4.1 (no prizes, no cost, and maybe via itch.io if that is possible)?

The idea being it brings some attention to the community and maybe some more community members.

Disclaimer: I have no idea what the value is with a jam, nor how to run one, have never participated and have never followed the action on one - so if this idea totally sucks then just remove this post and let it die quietly. :)

i think it'd be pretty simple to do so, creating a game jam on itch.io is free and simple to do afaik

not sure if i'd participate though
