The release of Godot 4.1 was just a couple of weeks ago and we are ready for the first maintenance release — addressing some of the bugs and annoyances that have slipped into the stable build.

Maintenance release: Godot 4.1.1

It's eminently satisfying to see familiar guys with traditional update news and realize that at least something in this world is stable.

I am glad that the shameful closure of the forum did not affect the development and improvement of the engine.

AND I just saw 4.2 added to the doc options.

Is the old forum genuinely shut down? Or is it just having issues?

Yeah. It's having issues with the new admin who shut it down.

Sad stuff. Thank you for the details. When I asked this question I was originally thinking of ask.godotengine.org, I wasn't aware of godotforums somehow! I'll assume there must be something related causing issues.

ask.godotengine.org appears to be a server issue, though I don't know specifics.

Thanks for your input! I tried to provide support over there, but the organization, tagging, and lack of moderation made it difficult (plus it was just really slow and buggy). I look forward to helping out over here the best I can!
