I take the Godot 4 beta for a spin by rebuilding my Unreal HexGrid prototype system in the Godot Engine in only 24 hours. After trying the 2D engine previously, I was very curious about the capabilities and accessibility of the 3D engine in Godot. But will my Godot prototype hold up against Unreal or will my rebuild fail miserably?
Godot is a 2D and 3D engine initially released in 2014 and is currently awaiting a stable 4.0 release with additional features.
